 System plans must be picked up within 30 days. All system plans left longer than 30 days will be discarded as abandoned.

Disapproved*****(STANDARD COMMENT 19) DISAPPROVED COMMENTS The following information and/or corrections are needed prior to completing a full plan review. Please respond, in writing on letterhead, to each of the following comments: OUTSTANDING COMMENTS FROM PREVIOUS REVIEW: 1. Heat in water entry room - this is not clearly identified on the mechanical drawings. indicate a unit heater and/or provide written explanation heat is provided in the water entry room (fire entry/fire riser). 2. Water supply approval from Falcon Fire - you provided a letter from Falcon Fire where they reviewed and approved the site access. This letter explicitly states there was no review for the water supplies and directs you to submit for view a separate water plan. CSFD cannot move forward with approval of building plans without knowing there is adequate water supply available. 3. Flow tests for hydrants were provided, dated January 2020: unfortunately, there is nothing provided to connect the tested hydrants to this site. Provide a site plan showing the location of these hydrants in relation to the site. 4. No indication of any fire department connection was noted. PLEASE NOTE: You are to provide a written response on letterhead to disapproval comments. Also review the disapproved plans for additional written comments prior to submittal of new plans.

FYI(STANDARD COMMENT) REVIEWS: 2015 IFC 105.4.4 Colorado Springs Fire Department construction reviews are based upon information provided on the drawings and/or the attached reference material. Issues or features that are not presented within the construction documents are assumed to be complaint with applicable codes/standards. It is the responsibility of the building owner to ensure that minimum code requirements are met as established by the Authority Having Jurisdiction, whether or not the requirements are specifically indicated on the submitted construction documents. The CSFD has reviewed the submittal in accordance with the adopted fire code requirements, CSFD local amendments, City Code Standards, and applicable NFPA Standards. All plan review comments are subject to final on-site field inspections, and testing by the CSFD. Review and approval by the CSFD shall not relieve the applicant of the responsibility of compliance with the International Fire Code.

FIRE LINE IS ACCEPTABLE MATERIAL PER FIRE DEPARTMENT REGULATIONS. HAVE FALCON FIRE APPROVE FIRE HYDRANT LOCATIONS. ALSO PROVIDE MODELED FIRE FLOWS FOR NEW HYDRANTS AND/OR FIRE FLOW REPORTS DATED WITHIN 5 YEARS FROM EXISTING HYDRANTS ALONG THIS MAIN. SHOW LOCATION OF FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTION - ENSURE IT IS WITHIN 100 FEET OF A FIRE HYDRANT AND ALONG FRONT OF THE BUILDING.
