I2015 IFC - PROTECTION FROM VEHICLES. Guard posts or other approved means shall be provided to protect piping, valves or fittings subject to vehicular damage in accordance with Section 312. (2015 IFC ?5703.6.4) Amended plans indicate vehicle protection per Section 312 will be provided.
1/28/2020 I2015 IFC - SEPARATION DISTANCES FOR TANKS: Tank Size: 500 Gallons Miimum distance from LOT LINE of a lot which is or can be built upon, including the opposite sdie of a public way: 10 Feet Minimum distance from nearest side of any PUBLIC WAY or from nearest important building on the same property: 5 Feet (2015 IFC ?TABLE 5705.3.4(2))
Disapproved2015 IFC - PROTECTION FROM VEHICLES. Guard posts or other approved means shall be provided to protect piping, valves or fittings subject to vehicular damage in accordance with Section 312. (2015 IFC ?5703.6.4) generator appears to be in a driveway or loading dock area, but no vehicle protection called out.
I2015 IFC - VENT PIPE OUTLETS. Vent pipe outlets for tanks storing Class I, II or IIIA liquids shall be located such that the vapors are released at a safe point outside of buildings and not less than 12 feet (3658 mm) above the finished ground level. Vapors shall be discharged upward or horizontally away from adjacent walls to assist in vapor dispersion. Vent outlets shall be located such that flammable vapors will not be trapped by eaves or other obstructions and shall be not less than 5 feet (1524 mm) from building openings or lot lines of properties that can be built upon. Vent outlets on atmospheric tanks storing Class IIIB liquids are allowed to discharge inside a building where the vent is a normally closed vent. Exception: Vent pipe outlets on tanks storing Class IIIB liquid inside buildings and connected to fuel-burning equipment shall be located such that the vapors are released to a safe location outside of buildings. (2015 IFC ?5704.2.7.3.3)

AttentionTIGHTNESS TESTING. All tanks shall be pressure tested in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions OR if none exist, then the tank shall be tightness tested per NFPA 30 21.5 prior to filling. The test shall be documented and the documentation presented to the inspector.
AttentionEXCEEDS PERMIT QUANTITIES; ANNUAL HAZARDOUS MATERIALS OPERATIONAL PERMIT REQUIRED. COLLECT REQUIRED INFORMATION FOR ANNUAL PERMITTING.
FYI2015 IFC - SMOKING AND OPEN FLAME. Signs shall be posted in storage areas prohibiting open flames and smoking. Signs shall comply with Section 5703.5. (2015 IFC ?5704.2.3.1)
FYI2015 IFC - MONITORING. An approved monitoring method shall be provided to detect hazardous materials in the secondary containment system. The monitoring method is allowed to be visual inspection of the primary or secondary containment, or other approved means. Where secondary containment is subject to the intrusion of water, a monitoring method for detecting water shall be provided. Where monitoring devices are provided, they shall be connected to approved visual or audible alarms. (2015 IFC ?5004.2.2.5)
FYI2015 IFC - MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all hazardous materials shall be either readily available on the premises as a paper copy, or where approved, shall be permitted to be readily retrievable by electronic access. (2015 IFC ?407.2)
FYI2015 IFC - HAZARD IDENTIFICATION SIGNS. Unless otherwise exempted by the fire code official, visible hazard identification signs as specified in NFPA 704 for the specific material contained shall be placed on stationary containers and aboveground tanks and at entrances to locations where hazardous materials are stored, dispensed, used or handled in quantities requiring a permit and at specific entrances and locations designated by the fire code official. (2015 IFC ?5003.5)
FYIINSPECTION REQUIRED. An inspection of this hazardous materials installation/process is required prior to final Certificate of Occupancy/occupancy of the building/commencement of hazardous materials operations. FYI2015 IFC - INSTALLATION OF VENT PIPING. Vent piping shall be designed, sized, constructed and installed in accordance with Section 5703.6. Vent pipes shall be installed such that they will drain toward the tank without sags or traps in which liquid can collect. Vent pipes shall be installed in such a manner so as not to be subject to physical damage or vibration. (2015 IFC ?5704.2.7.3.4)
