The Bar Association holds a monthly call-in service for the public to speak to an attorney free of charge on legal topics. It is held the 3rd Thursday of each month from 7 pm - 9 pm. The number to call is 471-0380.


Glossary


Child Care: For those defendants with children, we would like to announce CourtCare, a free child care service. CourtCare is for children whose parents, guardians, or caregivers must appear in court for any reason that may or may not be directly related to that child. For more information, contact: CourtCare at telephone (719)719-448-7747 for authorization.

Interpreters: The Municipal Court now provides Spanish interpreters Monday - Thursday at 8:15am and 1:15pm. The court staff have noticed an increased use in Spanish interpreters and is sensitive to the needs of the growing Hispanic population in our area. Therefore, should you need assistance or know someone that needs Spanish interpretation for court business, please appear at the court Monday - Thursday at 8:15 am and 1:15 pm. Our staff will be available to direct you.

For those patrons who wish to have an interpreter present to help them in their proceedings, the court may order a sign or language interpreter to assist them. Click on Interpreter Information or contact our Probation Department by e-mail: Court-InterpreterRequest@springsgov.com For more information on the process, please call our Probation department at (719) 385-5923. Each courtroom is further equipped with assisted-listening devices to help those who are hearing impaired. If you choose to utilize this device, please notify the courtroom clerk who can accommodate you.
