Colorado Springs Municipal Court - APPEALS

All appeals from Municipal Court except Referee decisions are heard by the 4th Judicial District Court in accordance with Colorado Municipal Court Rules of Procedure, Rule 237 and the Colorado Rules of Criminal Procedure, Rule 37.


All appeals of a Referee decision are heard in accordance with City of Colorado Springs, City Ordinance 11.5.104.


A NOTICE of APPEAL and DESIGNATION of RECORD must be filed within 30 days of Sentencing to appeal a Municipal Court Judge?s decision. For information on how to appeal a Municipal Court Judge?s decision, click: Appellant Checklist


A NOTICE TO REQUEST APPEAL OF REFEREE DECISION must be filed within 10 days of the Referee?s decision. For information on how to appeal a Referee decision, click: Referee Appeal Checklist
