Cottonwood Creek - Union to Rangewood, Phases I, II and III

Erosion and flood damage along Cottonwood Creek was threatening existing infrastructure, sanitary sewer crossings and adjacent public and private property between Union Boulevard and Rangewood Drive. Using a combination of City General Fund and Stormwater Enterprise funding, improvements were started in 2007. Phases I and II were completed in 2007 and Phase III was completed in 2008. The fourth and final phase will be completed in 2009. The work included new drop structures, bank protection and channel improvements to reduce erosion, damage and flooding threats to adjacent properties, including Cottonwood Creek Park.

 

Stormwater Enterprise Funding:       $3.5M

General Fund:                                     $1.6M
