Human Services Request for Proposal
The City of Colorado Springs Economic Vitality, Housing Services is accepting proposals from qualified contractors to conduct an Affordable Housing Needs Study of the City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County. Interested parties are invited to pick up a copy of the Request for Proposal (RFP) at 702 E. Boulder Street, 80903, or download at http://www.springsgov.com/RFPBidRequest.asp. The City of Colorado Springs has developed the proposed 2014 budget for the federal block grant funds CDBG, HOME and ESG in conjunction with the Mayor’s 2014 Recommended Budget. A public hearing/E-Town Hall meeting on the budget will be held on October 17, 2013, from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 107 N. Nevada Avenue.
Citizens are invited to comment on the proposed federal block grant budget through November 10, 2013. Copies of the budget are available at the Housing Services office located at 702 E. Boulder Street. The proposed budget is also posted on line at www.springsgov.com/housing.

Written comments will be answered within 15 days, and all comments will be given consideration in the final budgetary process. 2012 Draft CAPER available for public comment
Public comment is being sought on the City’s 2012 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), which will be submitted to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The report details the City’s 2012 Community Development Block Grant, HOME, and Emergency Solutions Grant activities and performance. It includes housing, capital improvements, planning, administrative, and human service activities.
Drafts of the report will be available from June 8 through June 23, 2013. Any person interested in reviewing the report may pick up a copy at 702 E. Boulder Street or call 385-5912 to have a copy mailed. The draft report is also available on the City’s website at www.springsgov.com/CAPER.
