Community Programs

Our special programs provide opportunities for hundreds of boys and girls every year. Take a look at what we have, program dates vary throughout the year.

One Springs Youth Boxing... This program, offered through an innovative community partnership between Parks and Recreation and the Colorado Springs Police Athletic League, focuses on physical fitness, skill development and boxing technique. It's open to kids ages 8-19. Sessions last four months, although participants may join at any time. The instructors base the program structure on discipline and hard work.

SUMMER
Young Stars Day Camp... This fun neighborhood-based park activity camp will give kids ages 6-13 a chance to hang out with their neighborhood friends in a positive, safe atmosphere. Kids will gain experience in several different sports and games, including baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, field hockey, and an array of non-traditional games, sports and field trips. Lunch is not provided. Participants must bring their own.

Unified Sports Leagues... Unified Sports furnishes league play for teams of youth or adult Special Olympic athletes, friends, families and volunteers. Our philosophy first and foremost is to have FUN, while providing the opportunity to attain individual skills, evolve a team concept and enjoy the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship. This program is offered in cooperation with Colorado Special Olympics. Sports offered include Winter Basketball, Spring Soccer, Summer Softball, Summer Tennis, Summer Cycling, Fall Volleyball, Fall Floor Hockey, and Swimming.
