Our special programs provide opportunities for hundreds of boys and girls every year. Take a look at what we have, program dates vary throughout the year. One Springs Youth Boxing... This program, offered through an innovative community partnership between Parks and Recreation and the Colorado Springs Police Athletic League, focuses on physical fitness, skill development and boxing technique. It's open to kids ages 8-19. Sessions last four months, although participants may join at any time. The instructors base the program structure on discipline and hard work.
SUMMER Unified Sports Leagues... Unified Sports furnishes league play for teams of youth or adult Special Olympic athletes, friends, families and volunteers. Our philosophy first and foremost is to have FUN, while providing the opportunity to attain individual skills, evolve a team concept and enjoy the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship. This program is offered in cooperation with Colorado Special Olympics. Sports offered include Winter Basketball, Spring Soccer, Summer Softball, Summer Tennis, Summer Cycling, Fall Volleyball, Fall Floor Hockey, and Swimming.
