Physical Abilities Test
The CPAT is a minimum standard for taking the Colorado Springs Fire Department entry level and lateral entry examinations. The CPAT is currently being offered by Pikes Peak Community College and many Departments around the country.
Prior to taking the CPAT, candidates should review the Candidate Preparation Guide that assists them in physically preparing for the test. They must then attend an orientation that consists of watching the CPAT Orientation Video and viewing each event performed by the proctors. Candidates must provide proof of passing the CPAT to CSFD HR in order to be eligible for hire. Specific dates will be posted when testing and hiring.
