Featured Teen Program accepting applications for Summer 2013

Park Aide (North Cheyenne Canon at Helen Hunt Falls Visitor Center and/or Starsmore Discovery Center)
Have fun assisting staff and interacting with visitors in this beautiful mountain park! Answer visitors’ questions about hikes, exhibits, and programs offered at each Center. Maintain live butterfly exhibit at Starsmore Discovery Center and provide hummingbird support at both Centers. Hone your communication skills with an array of interesting topics from gold panning to geology. Enhance young visitors’ experience by utilizing hands-on displays. Gain customer service experience and provide some retail sales support.

Days/Times: 4 hours each week for at least ten weeks between June 1-September 2, 8:50 a.m.-1:00 p.m. or 1:00-5:10 p.m. at both sites.

Training Required: Date and time to be announced. *Interviews for this position will take place at Starsmore Discovery Center. A Letter of Recommendation is required from school personnel (e.g., principal, teacher, coach, office staff, paraprofessional, etc.) and someone from the community (e.g., pastor/minister, scout leader, someone you’ve done babysitting or yard work for, etc.)
