Got Pothole? Response times improve more than 50% - ...
Keep reporting them!
Since beginning the pothole push on April 4, the Street Division has filled 3,579 potholes (through 4/26) and improved average response time from up to 5 weeks to 2 weeks or less. Potholes are prioritized by location, so potholes in the wheel path of highly traveled roads are repaired much quicker than the two-week goal.
As of today, only 50 pothole requests were remaining on the to-do list, so the City continues to ask the public for its help in reporting potholes. There are several ways citizens can report potholes:
· Call 385-ROAD
· Email firstname.lastname@example.org
· Submit a request online through www.springsgov.com by clicking on Citizen Request on the left side of the page
· Download an app for your I-Phone from www.springsgov.com (click on the phone icon at the top of the page)
The City of Colorado Springs Streets Division is responsible for maintaining 4,725 miles of street lanes. Streets crews filled 25,249 potholes last year and have filled approximately 5,855 so far this year.
INTERVIEW REQUESTS: Streets Division Operations Manager, Bard Lower, will be available at 3 p.m. today for interviews. Meet in the Public Communications Office in City Hall for interviews.
