May 17 Election deadlines approaching
Ballots for the May 17 Mayoral Run-Off Election are scheduled to be mailed on April 27 to all eligible, active voters within Colorado Springs city limits. If you voted in the November 2010 General Election or the April 5, 2011 Municipal Election, you are considered an eligible, active voter. If you need to register as a new voter, you must do so by Monday, April 18. The new voter registration form and more information are available on www.springsgov.com/election at the Register to Vote page - http://www.springsgov.com/Page.aspx?NavID=1200. If you are an inactive voter, you can update your registration by April 18 to have a ballot mailed to you. After April 18, inactive voters with no changes to their registration (such as name or address) can pick up a ballot from the City Clerk's office beginning April 28 through Election Day, May 17, 2011. Inactive voters who need to make changes to their registration will have to do so first at an El Paso County Elections office.
