Snow in the forecast! - City snow routes information

With snow in tonight's forecast, the City would like to remind citizens about snow plowing procedures.
  • The City clears the main arterials first. The map of primary and secondary routes can be viewed here.
  • Residential streets are only plowed when there is 6 inches or more of snow and after the primary routes are cleared and it has stopped snowing.
  • Residential streets are plowed using a grid-based system. Previously, residential streets were plowed upon request, but with the grid-based system, requests are not necessary and will not change the plow schedule.
  • The grid map can be found here.  Please note that the numbers on the grid map are for assignment basis only and do not indicate plowing order. Grids that receive the most snow in any given storm are plowed first.

For more information about snow routes and current plow call-out status, please call the Snow Line at 457-7669. All of the snow maps can be viewed here.

If City offices have a delayed start or are closed due to snow, the announcement will run on all major media outlets and on

Remember, use caution and keep an emergency kit in your vehicle.
