Art Opening in the City Administration Building on Friday, May 2
Tuesday, April 29, 2014

Colorado Springs, CO - The City of Colorado Springs will host an art opening in the lobby of the City Administration Building (30 S. Nevada Avenue) on Friday, May 2 from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

At the 2013 What If Festival, The Mural Project of Colorado Springs, with support from Bemis School of Art, created one-of-a- kind community murals on recycled construction material. The murals were painted with help from the Colorado Springs community; stop by the City Administration Building and come see what YOU helped CREATE!

Earlier this year, the City's Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services published the inaugural celebratory calendar featuring our City's natural spaces. We received an overwhelming number of photograph submissions, and the selected photographs will be displayed at the art opening as well. Celebrate all the beautiful gems Colorado Springs has to offer, through photographs taken by those who love them.

In partnership with COPPeR and the Public Art Commission, the City of Colorado Springs welcomes local artists to exhibit in the City Administration Building throughout 2014.
