Thursday, April 17, 2014

Please join Mayor Steve Bach for the graduation ceremony of the second Ticket-to-Success class on Thursday, April 24 at 1:00 p.m. at the Colorado Springs Airport.

Ticket-to-Success is a program of the City of Colorado Springs which provides a unique leadership opportunity for local 7th and 8th grade students. It fulfills the Spirit of the Springs Initiative of transforming City government leadership and developing future City leaders. The following schools participated:

  • Fountain Middle School (D-8) – 10 students
  • Fox Meadow Middle School (D-2) – 10 students
  • Carmel Middle school (D-2) - 10 students
  • Galileo Middle School of Math and Science (D-11) – 8 students
  • Scholars to Leaders Academy (Colorado State Institute of Charter Schools) – 10 students

The young people visited City departments four times during the school year, meeting City employees and gaining an awareness of various City careers. They observed and networked with City leaders to further explore and enhance their career post-secondary skills.

Students will receive their certificates of achievement from Mayor Bach.
