Mountain Metropolitan Transit to Hold Ask Transit Event at First & Main Town Center

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-- Mountain Metropolitan Transit is holding an Ask Transit event this Friday, April 11, from 1-4 p.m. in front of the Cinemark movie theater in the First & Main Town Center. Learn how you can save money, improve your health and help the environment by taking the City bus.

Colorado Springs Sky Sox mascot Sox the Fox and Buddy from iT’Z Family Food and Fun will be in attendance. Representatives from Mountain Metro will bring route schedules, system maps, giveaways, and a bus, so citizens can learn how easy it is to use public transportation. Find the quickest way to get to work, shopping and entertainment. The general public is invited to stop by and ask questions about bus service including the new Route 23, which is a local express bus offering service to Powers Blvd. via stops along Barnes Rd. and Tutt Blvd.

Mountain Metropolitan Transit provides local fixed-route bus service and Mountain Metro Mobility ADA paratransit service for Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. All buses are wheelchair-lift equipped. Mountain Metropolitan Transit also provides other services such as Mountain Metro Rides’ ridesharing, vanpool, and bicycling programs. For added convenience, there are bike racks on all buses for riders who want to utilize the bike-n-busprogram.
