Councilmen to Join Panel Discussion

Councilmen Val Snider and Andy Pico will join Colorado College’s Energy, Environment, and Security Project (EESP), the Sierra Club, the Utilities Policy Advisory Committee and Colorado Springs Utilities for a panel discussion on “The Future of Energy in Colorado Springs: a Discussion of the Martin Drake Power Plant.”

The free event, open to the public, will be held on Monday, March 31 from 7-8:30 p.m at Colorado College’s Bemis Hall located at 920 N. Cascade Ave.

“I am pleased to be a part of the panel and very impressed with Colorado College student James “Jack” Queen for spearheading this vital civic engagement event,” said Val Snider, councilman and Drake study project lead.

The EESP is a student-led group at Colorado College whose mission is “to promote discussion and research on the rising energy and environmental security challenges of the 21st century.”
