Structure Fire at 3920 Half Turn Place

Colorado Springs, CO – On February 26, 2014 at 10:58 a.m., Colorado Springs firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire at 3920 Half Turn Place. The first CSFD engine arrived within five minutes to find visible fire and smoke coming from an upstairs window of this single family home. 

CSFD responded to this single alarm fire call with eight apparatus including three fire engines, two fire trucks, and support personnel. Approximately 32 firefighters and support personnel were on scene.

Ten people were displaced from the home and Red Cross provided assistance to find temporary housing. There were no reported injuries from this incident.

The CSFD estimates that $106,500 of property/content was saved; the overall loss was $114,000 in property/content.

The fire is determined to be accidental with no specific cause reported.
