A New Year, Same Resolute Focus

“The New Year is a time for rumination—for looking back at where one has been, and ahead to where one wants to go.

With that in mind, my continued resolution to help make 2014 a Happy New Year for the citizens of the great city of Colorado Springs is threefold: to solve issues that will make a difference in my district; to find common ground on issues such as stormwater management, City for Champions, job creation and tourism marketing; and to continue working in partnership with my fellow Councilmembers to promote good governance, to enhance our business corridors and to establish Colorado Springs as a business friendly city.

I look forward to working together with my constituents on addressing No Man’s Land. This issue has been a problem for many years. It is my hope, that together, we can make significant progress on solving this issue.

I look forward to collaborating with the Mayor on reviewing the Council-Mayor form of governance and finding common ground on how it can be enhanced to work better for the city and the citizens.

I look forward to continue working with my fellow Councilmembers on our Strategic Plan objectives and focusing on issues that will have a positive impact on our neighbors.

A Happy New and Productive Year to all!”
