Attempted Abduction Alert

At approximately 7:30 p.m. this evening,  the Colorado Springs Police Department was notified of an attempted child abduction that occurred in the area of Carefree Circle South and North Powers Boulevard.

A nine year old female child was playing outside her home when she was approached from behind by two male suspects.  The males grabbed the child from behind and attempted to get her away from the area of her home.  The female victim proceeded to fight against the suspects in an attempt to get away.  The female victim began screaming for help, at which time the suspects fled the area.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect #1 – White teenage male with blonde hair, approximately 5’7” tall, thin build, last seen wearing a red & black t-shirt and blue jeans.  This male has a long scar on his forearm.

Suspect #2 – White teenage male with blonde hair, approximately 5’7” tall, last seen wearing an orange shirt and blue jeans.

The suspects approached the victim on foot and a vehicle was not located in the area. 

The CSPD is actively investigating this incident in the area along with the assistance of K-9 Units.
