Fillmore Corridor Improvement Project Traffic Impacts

Saturday, June 1, 2013

On Saturday, June 1, utility work will be taking place on west Fillmore Street from just west of Straus Lane east to just east of Parker Street. Eastbound and westbound traffic on Fillmore will be down to one lane. Straus Lane will be closed at Fillmore Street with access off of Taylor Street.  The public is asked to take an alternate route this day due to delays that may occur in the area due to construction activities.

Work will take place from 6 a.m. to approximately 8 p.m.

Access to businesses and residents will remain open at all times with a detour in place.

For information or questions on construction impacts, please call Blue Ridge Construction at (719) 578-5225 EXT 10.

The Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority was formed when voters in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls and El Paso County approved a one percent sales tax in November of 2004 to address infrastructure and transit needs in the region.  The tax revenue is divided into three categories: 55 percent for capital improvements (such as this project), 35 percent for maintenance, and 10 percent for transit.
