with $20,000 Directed to Wildfire Mitigation

Colorado Springs, CO – On Thursday, May 9, Colorado Springs-based Allstate agents will present $20,000 to the Colorado Springs Fire Department to help with wildfire mitigation work in the Golden Hills Neighborhood.  At the event on May 9, residents of the Golden Hills neighborhood will be present to hear important information on how to protect their homes against wildfires and will learn how the $20,000 grant will help their neighborhood with mitigation efforts.   

WHO: Attendees scheduled to appear include:

  • Allstate agents and leadership
  • Colorado Springs Fire Department
  • State Representative Janak Joshi (State Representative HD16)
  • City Councilman Don Knight

WHAT: The purpose of Allstate’s Safe & Secure Communities campaign is to improve safety and quality of life in Colorado Springs. Throughout the year, Allstate Agents will help bring a series of high-profile safety education programs to the local community. This will be the first official ASSC event and will include the new Allstate Foundation partner, Colorado Springs Fire Department, delivering key messages on working together to protect the community from the dangers of wildfires.
