Fillmore Corridor Improvement Project Traffic Impacts
Monday, April 15, 2013

Wednesday and Thursday, April 17 and 18, 2013

On Wednesday and Thursday, April 17 and 18, utility work will be taking place on W. Fillmore Street from just west of Straus Lane to just east of Parker Street. Eastbound and westbound traffic on Fillmore will be down to one lane in each direction. Straus Lane will be closed at Fillmore Street with access provided from Taylor Street.  Work will start at 8 p.m. and finish up around 6 a.m. on both days. The public is advised to take an alternate route due to potential delays.

Access to businesses and residents will remain open at all times with a detour in place.

For information or questions on construction impacts, please call Blue Ridge Construction at (719) 578-5225 EXT 10.

The Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority was formed when voters in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls and El Paso County approved a one percent sales tax in November of 2004 to address infrastructure and transit needs in the region.  The tax revenue is divided into three categories: 55 percent for capital improvements (such as this project), 35 percent for maintenance, and 10 percent for transit.
