Green Bag Lunch-n-Learn: Gardening During Drought with Phelan Gardens
Monday, April 15, 2013

The drought is upon us.  How will your landscape fare?  Come get tips, tricks, and expert advice on water-wise landscaping for your home or business with Phelan Gardens at this Earth Month Lunch-n-Learn.  Bring your lunch, bring your questions, and bring a friend!  The program will take place on the 7th floor in Room 701 of the City Administration Building, 30 S. Nevada Avenue, on Thursday, April 18 over the lunch hour (12:11 to 12:49 p.m.).  Bring ID for the security guard station.

Attendees are encouraged to bring and enjoy their lunches during the presentation.  Those who come have the opportunity to win a door prize tote bag made from reused City banners.  Phelan Gardens greenhouse, garden center, and plant nursery has everything from tropical, vegetables, shrubs, and hardy perennials to gardening classes and much more.  Each month, the City sponsors a Lunch-n-Learn topic on an environmental issue.  Question or suggestions?  Contact Nick Kittle at 719-385-6609 or
