Mayor Bach honors local elementary school

Mayor Steve Bach will present a Spirit of the Springs Award to Queen Palmer Elementary School in District 11 on Wednesday, April 10th at 10:00 a.m.

Queen Palmer is one of six schools across the nation to earn the TAP Ambassador Award, which comes with a financial prize of $5,000. The award honors a TAP school that has gone beyond its campus to represent the principles of the TAP system and assist others in the state and region.

TAP: The System for Teacher and Student Advancement is America's leading education reform offering teachers career advancement, professional development, educator evaluation and performance-based compensation.

The award presentation will be held at Queen Palmer Elementary School, 1921 East Yampa Street, Colorado Springs 80909.
