Wednesday, April 3, 2013, 4:30 PM [RELEASE AT WILL]

The Colorado Springs Police Department received a call of a disturbance at 2:20 this afternoon at the Tanager Meadows Apartments located at Sandalwood Drive.

When officers arrived, they found one person unconscious and unresponsive.  Investigators believe the person died from apparent trauma to the body.

 A person was taken into custody.

Investigators are on the scene gathering evidence and collecting witness statements.  They do not believe there is any reason for the community to be concerned at this time. 

We will need to wait for an autopsy to be conducted for the Coroner to rule a cause and manner of death.

Next of kin has yet to be notified so a name will not be released until then.
