Transit Night Service Is Almost Here
Monday, March 25, 2013

Mountain Metropolitan Transit is bringing back the night to Colorado Springs with evening bus service beginning April 1, 2013. Evening bus service will provide riders with more options for jobs, school, shopping, entertainment and more. The first night is FREE beginning at 6:45 p.m. Join us at the downtown terminal for refreshments, live music featuring the Coronado High School Jazz Band, and celebrate the arrival of evening bus service.

“Adding night service is a great boost for our riders and the local economy, and has already had a direct influence on local jobs as our service contractor, McDonald Transit, has hired 11 additional employees,” said Craig Blewitt, transit services division manager.

Evening hours will extend bus service on Routes 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 (to UCCS only), 11 and 25 until approximately 9:45 p.m. Route 10 evening service will extend until approximately 7:10 p.m.

Mountain Metropolitan Transit provides local fixed-route bus service and Metro Mobility ADA paratransit service for Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. All buses are wheelchair-lift equipped. Mountain Metropolitan Transit also provides other services such as Metro Rides’ ridesharing, vanpool, and bicycling programs. For added convenience, there are bike racks on all buses for riders who want to utilize the bike-n-busprogram.
