Death Investigation - Update

UPDATE:  Mr. James Klinger, 36 year old Colorado Springs resident died from a gunshot wound.  At this time, the Coroner’s Office has ruled the manner of death: Undetermined pending further investigation on both the Coroner’s Office and the Colorado Springs Police Department. 


At 12:33 this afternoon, the Colorado Springs Police Department received a call of a guest who was found unconscious in a room at the Clarion Hotel located at 314 W. Bijou Street.

Officers discovered that the victim was deceased at the scene.  Detectives responded and are in the preliminary stages of their investigation.  They believe the adult male suffered an apparent gun shot wound.

Once an autopsy is completed, the cause and manner of death will be released as well as the identification of the male.

 Should this death be ruled a homicide, it will mark the 9th one for 2013.
