Fillmore Corridor Improvement Project - Monday, March 4, 2013
Monday, March 04, 2013

UPDATE!  This work was previously scheduled for tonight – Monday, March 4. Due to the impending weather,  the night work has been rescheduled from tonight to tomorrow night – Tuesday, March 5.

On Monday, March 4, night work will be taking place on west Fillmore Street from just west of Straus Lane east to just east of Parker Street.  East and westbound traffic on Fillmore will be down to one lane for new striping alignment of the eastbound lanes.  After striping is complete, eastbound traffic will shift to the north into the current left turn lane.  This will allow for use of the current right lane for construction.  This will be a permanent alignment of the roadway through May when work on that side of the road is complete.   Work will start at 8pm and finish up around 6 am.

Access to businesses and residents will remain open at all times.

For information or questions on construction impacts, please call Blue Ridge Construction at (719) 578-5225 EXT 10.

The Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority was formed when voters in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls and El Paso County approved a one percent sales tax in November of 2004 to address infrastructure and transit needs in the region.  The tax revenue is divided into three categories: 55 percent for capital improvements (such as this project), 35 percent for maintenance, and 10 percent for transit.
