Attempted Child Enticement

The CSPD is requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying two (2) individuals who attempted to entice children into a vehicle on January 29, 2013 and one party may have been involved in the attempted enticement of a child on January 28, 2013


The first incident was reported on Monday, January 28, 2013 at approximately 4:45 PM in the area of 2000 S. Corona St.  In the first case two girls, ages four (4) and nine (9) were asked to get into a vehicle with a stranger.  The suspect in the first case is described, as follows: dark skinned Hispanic Male, possibly late 20s, 6’-2” tall, thin build, possible black mustache, dark sunglasses, wearing a black colored “hoodie” style sweatshirt, black jeans and black shoes.  The suspect was on foot and ran from the area.  No suspect vehicle was seen.


Today, Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at about 3:26 PM two (2) males yelled for a ten (10) year old girl to get into their vehicle and made reference to, “candy”  as the young girl was walking in the area of the intersection of West Cheyenne Road and Cresta Road.


The suspects in this case are described, as follows: 1) Hispanic male, 17-20, and possible white t-shirt and dark hair.

 2) There is no description available for the second male.


The vehicle used in the second incident on Tuesday, 01-29-13 is described, as follows: Silver, SUV style vehicle similar to a Jeep make. 


Both of these incidents occurred after the children were walking home from school.  The community is reminded to be aware of discussing safety strategies with children.
