Councilman Bennett Attends USAFA Dedication
More than 2 million people pass through Colorado Springs Airport each year. On Feb. 5, they had a few more—Council member Merv Bennett, Lt. Gen. Mike Gould, Air Force Cadets and their beloved falcon—for the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Air Force art display.
The airport, which has been named the “Cultural Gateway to the Rockies,” is the perfect venue for the presentation of Southern Colorado’s cultural heritage, including the new display which showcases murals of Cadet Chapel and Air Force academics, athletics, military, leadership, character and airmanship.
