Mayor Bach's Spirit of the Springs Check Presentations

Please join Mayor Bach TODAY Thursday, January 24th, 3 - 4 p.m. for the Spirit of the Springs check presentations at the Colorado Springs Conservatory, 415 Sahwatch, Colorado Springs 80903.
The Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament is a fundraiser for the Spirit of the Springs program. In order to be considered for the funding, the applicants must achieve the objectives of the Spirit of the Springs initiatives which are: celebrate and connect Colorado Springs, cultivate future City leadership and encourage citizen involvement. The four recipients are: Colorado Springs Conservatory ($10,000); Leadership Pikes Peak ($5,000); Colorado Springs Together ($ 5,000) and Pikes Peak Community College ($ 24,000).
The Conservatory was founded in 1994 and serves students within 100 mile radius on a weekly basis. The Colorado Springs Conservatory not only supports community development today, but provides programming, a positive environment and strong mentorship that combats the negative influences surrounding our youth today and develops committed, contributing, confident and creative citizens. The Colorado Springs Conservatory has long sought to find a permanent home in downtown Colorado Springs and plays a critical role in the ongoing arts and culture scene which is so necessary to a vibrant (downtown) community.
Leading Edge is a program of Leadership Pikes Peak, the premiere community leadership organization in the Pikes Peak Region. The Leading Edge Program reaches out to younger citizens who want to make community involvement and effective leadership part of a successful future.
Pikes Peak Community College’s mission is to provide high quality, educational opportunities accessible to all, with a focus on student success and community needs. Four local students will receive a two year scholarship. These students will be selected at the end of the school year.
Colorado Springs Togetherwhose missionisto serve as the primary community organization bringing the community spirit and substantial resources of businesses and citizens of the Pikes Peak Region to restore the lives, homes and neighborhoods impacted by the Waldo Canyon Fire.
