Burglary - Shots Fired Update

Thursday, December 27, 2012 10:45 AM [RELEASE AT WILL]

Yesterday, officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress call at 815 N. Nevada Avenue at 6:20 pm.

The caller shared that there was a “No Trespassing” sign on the home and that two suspects drove up behind the home and were looking through the back windows with a flashlight.

The caller continued to provide updates, stating that the suspects entered the home and were now getting into a vehicle and leaving.

Upon arrival, officers contacted two potential suspects during a traffic stop.  One was detained immediately but the other fled on foot.  During the foot pursuit, at least one shot was fired by one of the suspects at St. Vrain and N. Weber Street.

William Dandrea {09/29/1980} was arrested for Attempted Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer as well as an outstanding warrant for a parole violation.

Ryan Medlock, {11/16/1978} was arrested on an unrelated arrest warrant.

Following an investigation, it was determined that the two had permission to be at the home which is why no burglary charges were filed.
