Fillmore Corridor Improvement Project Traffic Impacts for Week of November 12
Friday, November 09, 2012

Construction is under way on the Fillmore Corridor Improvement Project.  Motorists can expect to see construction activity in the vicinity of West Fillmore Street and Parker Street.  During the week of November 12, there will be temporary lane closures on West Fillmore Street, east and west bound, for utility work.  Also, new traffic signal work will be starting at the intersection of Parker Street and Fillmore Street.  Traffic on Chestnut Street will not be impacted.

Access to businesses and residents will remain open at all times.

For information or questions on construction impacts, please call Blue Ridge Construction at (719) 578-5225 EXT 10.

The Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority was formed when voters in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Falls and El Paso County approved a one percent sales tax in November of 2004 to address infrastructure and transit needs in the region.  The tax revenue is divided into three categories: 55 percent for capital improvements (such as this project), 35 percent for maintenance, and 10 percent for transit. The capital portion of the tax will sunset at the end of the year in 2014.
