27th Annual Medal of Valor Luncheon

November 5, 2012

at the

Broadmoor Hotel’s Broadmoor Hall B

 

The Awards are presented by the Colorado Springs Police Department to those officers who display heroism, courage and initiative above and beyond the call of duty, while protecting the citizens and businesses of Colorado Springs.

 

The luncheon and ceremony are presented by Police Foundation of Colorado Springs and sponsored by Ent Federal Credit Union, 11 NEWS, the Gazette, ADD STAFF, Phil Long, Urological Associates, the Colorado Springs Police Protective Association and the Colorado Springs Police Department. Many local individuals, organizations and corporations also generously support this annual ceremony through their table sponsorships and seat purchases for CSPD staff.

 

A static display will begin at 10:45 until 11:45. The luncheon will begin promptly at 12:00 noon with a performance by the Police Pipes & Drums of the Pikes Peak Region. Sixteen officers will be presented with the Medal of Valor award and four officers will be recognized with the Distinguished Service Award by Colorado Springs Chief of Police, Peter Carey. The Citizen of Distinction Award will also be presented as selected by KKTV 11 News.  The luncheon will conclude at 1:30 p.m.
