Suspicious Incident

Wednesday, October 9, 2012, 3:30 PM [RELEASE AT WILL]

Just before noon today {11:48}, the Colorado Springs Police Department received a call of a Burglary in progress.  Information revealed that a B/M, believed to be 33 years of age, approached the upstairs apartment at 920 Mt. Werner Circle with a gun in hand.

There were three adults and a three year old child in the apartment at the time.

According to preliminary information, the suspect was not known to the residents.  It appears a struggle occurred whereby the suspect was stabbed and ran out of the apartment.  At 11:49 am, a neighbor called 9-1-1 to say the suspect was on the lawn near her apartment.

Officers arrived at 11:50 a.m., and had the “suspect” transported to Memorial Central for what were considered life threatening injuries.

This is the very early stage of the investigation.
