SUSPECT CONNECTED to 2 BANK ROBBERIES

Robbery investigators have identified 28 year old, Colorado resident, Matthew Ray as their suspect in two bank robberies. The most recent occurred on Monday, May 21st at the Key Bank located at 1521 S. 8th Street.
During this robbery, investigators were able to recover key evidence as well as develop a solid lead. They determined Matthew Ray to be their suspect and quickly obtained a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody on May 22nd at 8:45 PM.
While following up with their investigation, they determined that Mr. Ray was allegedly responsible for a prior robbery to the Vectra Bank located at 7390 N. Academy Blvd. on April 27,2012.
