Kinder Morgan's stated intentions to keep Western Natural Gas Pipeline operations and employees in Colorado Springs, following its acquisition of El Paso Corp., was welcome news to Mayor Bach. The Mayor has been talking with Kinder Morgan since the acquisition plans were announced to encourage the company to keep offices in Colorado Springs rather than consolidating at the Lakewood (CO) regional office.
"We're thrilled with this news and very thankful that Kinder Morgan has made this decision," said Mayor Bach. "This reflects on our entire community in a very positive way that Kinder Morgan would choose Colorado Springs. We look forward to their being a valued corporate citizen for a very long time to come."
