Streets: Sharing a success story
Friday, January 13, 2012

Dot Connell runs Front Door Ministries out of her home at Tyler and Main, helping adults and children down on their luck. Many of those she helps are people with disabilities and Dot has a disability herself. For years, Dot, her neighors, and those she helps have struggled with access due to no curb and gutter or pedestrian ramps in the area. Recently, the Streets Division cobbled together funds from other PPRTA projects finished under budget to be able to put in curb, gutter and a ramp in this location. They hope to be able to pave the road this year as the street was originally built with millings and is in disrepair. See Before and After photos below.
