Minutes of the Oil and Gas Committee Meeting April 12, 2012 City Hall, 107 N. Nevada, Pikes Peak Conference Room Colorado Springs, CO 80903
Attending Councilmember Val Snider, Chair Councilmember Brandy Williams, Vice Chair Chris Melcher, City Attorney – departed 8:50 Dick Anderwald, LGD (Local Government Designee) Steve Cox – Mayor’s Office – departed 11:00 Randy Case, O&G Committee Member – via telephone Michael Martin, O&G Committee Member Jan Handke, O&G Committee Member Chris Mendrop, O&G Committee Member Ed McCord, O&G Committee Member John Maynard – Committee Member – arrived 8:50 Ana Gutierrez – Consultant Absent: Councilmember Angela Dougan Stephen Harris, O&G Committee Member ____________________________________________________________________ Councilmember and Committee Chair Val Snider opened the meeting at 8:30 a.m. Introductions Introductions were made by all present. Briefing by Chris Melcher Chris reminded the Committee that it was set up as a special advisory Committee to City Council on potential legislative action. Council asked the Committee to do 3 things:
Open Discussion The Committee further discussed areas they feel are important for Colorado Springs to regulate, in some form. Areas important to the Committee include:
Break Open Discussion The Town Hall Meeting has been re-scheduled to May 3, 2012, 6-8 p.m. in room 102 of the City Administration Building (CAB). Committee Chair Val Snider adjourned the meeting at 11:30 a.m.
