2012 Goals/Progress Reports

Promote Art: Public Art Inventory; Lara thanked everyone who participated in the project. Pat,

Laurel and Agnes provided photographs in addition to other assistance. Laurel provided the

writing. The photographs will be compiled and sent to Brett. The link is not live yet so we can

make changes. Tara suggested that we consider placing a disclaimer on the site to allow for

updates. Something along these lines was mentioned, “If you notice something that may have

changed, please contact…” Peak Radar has a tab at the bottom of their screen for live shots.

Lara will present at the Community Ventures board meeting. The launch party is still being

discussed.

Yarn Bombing Project Update: We received a handout with the Yarn Bomb projects currently

in process. Lara will discuss funding with Juanita.

Downtown Trees Update: This project discussion was tabled until more information is

received. Sean O’Meale was recommended as a good artist, and Lara has contacted Whittle the

Wood Program to find costs of comparable projects. Please think about artists who can carve

trees. Because there is no money involved could a fundraiser be considered?

Cheyenne Village Artwork Update: The next step on this project is a site selection

committee. Suzanne will represent the Public Art Commission of the Pikes Peak Region.
